The day when the last group of black Americans in Texas were freed from slavery is called Juneteenth.

United States President Joe Biden has hosted a concert on the South Lawn of the White House to commemorate Juneteenth

In 2021, Biden signed bipartisan legislation establishing the federal holiday to commemorate the end of slavery in the US. (Al Jazeera)
