Samagi Jana Balawegaya Member of Parliament Mr. Hesha Withanage has submitted a complaint to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) demanding an investigation into the alleged corruption in Sri Lanka Cricket.

Addressing jou alists outside the CID office today, SJB Member of Parliament Hesha Withanage accused the Sri Lanka Cricket Executive Committee members of misappropriating the Board of Directors' funds for personal use.

The MP, who pointed out the facts from a recently released audit report, said that it is clear that Sri Lanka Cricket currently operates for the benefit of its members and has no intention to develop or advance the game of cricket in the future.
 
Through the complaint filed with the Criminal Investigation Department, the SJB hopes to create an environment where the players can perform freely.
