The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today (28) recalled the warrant issued against MP Ramanathan Archuna after he appeared in court through his lawyer.

The warrant was initially issued by Colombo Additional Magistrate Manjula Ratnayake on November 26, instructing the Jaffna Senior Superintendent of Police to arrest the MP for failing to appear in court regarding a 2021 road accident and assault case on Baseline Road.

MP Archuna recently drew attention during the new Parliament session on November 21, refusing to vacate the Opposition Leader’s seat and broadcasting the incident on Facebook.
