The Attorney General informed the Fort Magistrate's Court yesterday (19) that the investigation into the case against former President Ranil Wickremesinghe for misuse of public funds will be completed within a month and the case will be filed in a higher court.

It is reported that the request made by former Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake through a motion to lift the foreign travel ban imposed against him in relation to this case was considered yesterday (19).

However, the lawyers appearing for former Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake have taken steps to withdraw the request to lift the foreign travel ban imposed against their client after the prosecution told the court that the investigation into the case would be completed expeditiously.
