The Meteorological Department states that showers or thundershowers may occur at times in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa, and North-Weste provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts.

The department stated that fairly heavy showers exceeding 50 mm may occur at some places in the Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts.

The Meteorological Department also states that light showers may occur in the Anuradhapura and Hambantota districts.

The Meteorological Department also stated that strong winds of about 40–50 km/h are possible on the weste slopes of the Central Highlands, the Northe and North-Central Provinces, and the Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
