The railway line between Hali Ela and Uduwara has been reopened for train services as of today (December 2).

Train traffic was previously halted due to the collapse of an earth mound near Milepost No. 175/50 on the Badulla - Colombo railway line, caused by adverse weather conditions affecting the island.

However, Railway Department officials have now restored the line to normal, allowing train operations to resume.
