The Department of Meteorology states that showers or thundershowers may occur at places in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northweste , and Easte provinces and in the Polonnaruwa, Galle, and Matara districts after about 2.00 pm.

The department stated that some places in the Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts. Moderately heavy showers exceeding 50 mm may occur.

The Department of Meteorology further stated that showers may also occur in the weste province, Galle and Matara districts, and in the coastal areas during the mo ing.

Moderately strong winds of about 30-40 km/h are also possible in the Northe and North-Central provinces and in the Hambantota district.
