Reflecting the strong friendship and regional cooperation between Sri Lanka and the Maldives, 25,000 boxes of canned tuna have been donated to Sri Lanka for distribution to the disaster-affected people.

The consignment of canned tuna, packed in 14 containers, was officially handed over to the Sri Lankan government by the High Commissioner of Maldives yesterday (05) afternoon.

The Maldivian government has made this donation in support of the government's relief efforts, including the provision of essential food items to the disaster-affected people.
