The Department of Gove ment Information posted on Facebook that this year's National Environment Week's Celebrations themed 'Effective Land Use for a Healthy Environment,' will be held under the courtesy of President Ranil Wickramasinghe on 5th June at the Sinharaja entrance in Kalawana.
World Environment Day is celebrated on 5 June every year.
This year's theme of World Environment Day is 'Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience'. The slogan is “Our Land, Our Future.” We are Generation Restoration.
