Pakistan has moved up to second place in the 2025 Global Terrorism Index (GTI).

Foreign media reported that this was due to a sharp increase in terrorist attacks in Pakistan and an increase in the number of civilian deaths.

Accordingly, the latest Global Terrorism Index report published comprises 163 countries around the world.

It is reported that the index evaluates indicators including terrorist incidents, number of casualties, injuries and hostages, and the impact of terrorism.

The number of deaths related to terrorism in Pakistan has continuously increased over the last 5 years.
