The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that there will be several periods of rain in the North, North Central and Easte provinces.

It also said that there will be scattered showers or thunderstorms in the rest of the island after 1.00 pm.

There may be foggy conditions in some places in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southe and Uva provinces in the mo ing.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
