Parliament will commence its proceedings at 9.00 am today, and the vote is scheduled to be held at 6.00 pm following the debate.

The second reading of the Appropriation Bill for the year 2026, or the Budget Speech, was presented to Parliament by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development on November 7.
