Attention has now been focused on reducing water charges in comparison to the reduction in electricity bills.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that it will reduce water charges by between 10% and 30% in the future.
A committee has also been appointed to look into the reduction of water charges.
Accordingly, it is reported that the report of the committee appointed to reduce water bills is scheduled to be handed over to the Chairman of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board in the next few days.
The Chairman will then hand over the report to the Minister in charge of the subject, after which the relevant proposals are scheduled to be submitted to the Cabinet.
