Media Spokesperson Engineer Mr. Noel Priyantha said that the third generator of the Lakwijaya Power Plant in Norochchola has been restarted and is working to supply electricity to the national electricity system today (11).

The first generator that was in operation also stopped last night (09) due to the sudden power outage across the island.

Engineer Noel Priyantha said that although the production of electricity from the Norochchola power plant has stopped, according to the water level in the vicinity of the hydroelectric power plants, it has been possible to provide electricity without inconveniencing the electricity consumers.
