Industry and Health Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana says that the Ministry of Health is following up on the new JN.1 Covid variant reported from India.

Accordingly, the minister said that no patient has been reported from the sample tests conducted so far.

Even so, the minister said that the public is requested to follow the proper health practices followed during the last Covid season.
