A 6.3-magnitude earthquake has struck the Haixi area of northwest China's Qinghai Province.
The China Earthquake Networks Center said the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers from the surface of the earth.
Several aftershocks with a magnitude of about 5 have also occurred since then.
Foreign media further stated that there have been no reports of casualties or property damage due to the earthquake.
