The Cabinet has approved the implementation of the 03rd phase of the Baseline Road extension project.

Accordingly, approval was received at the Cabinet meeting held on 11th November 2009 to construct a 0.86 km 6-lane road from Kirulapone Junction to Dutugemunu Street on the Colombo-Horana road.

However, the economic crisis in 2022 has temporarily suspended this project.
