A worker at the Borella office of the Colombo Municipal Council who was allegedly involved in drug trafficking has been arrested.
He was arrested by the Central Anti-Corruption Unit in Walana.
Police stated that they are interrogating him after obtaining a detention order.
It is reported that the person arrested is a 47-year-old resident of Seevali Road, Borella.
Police have revealed that the suspect has been involved in the trafficking of ice drugs from his office behind Campbell Pitiya in Borella.
Police stated that it was also revealed that the suspect receives ice drugs from organized criminals.
More than 20 grams of ice have been found in his possession.
