The National Dengue Control Unit has taken steps to implement a 3-day special program to combat dengue.

The unit stated that the program will be implemented today (08), tomorrow (09), and the day after tomorrow (10).

This special dengue control program will be implemented, focusing on 72 health and medical officers' offices in 12 districts.

The National Dengue Control Unit stated that 36,168 patients had been reported as of June 5.

The highest number of patients has been reported from the Weste Province.

The National Dengue Control Unit stated that, in addition, patients have also been reported in the Matara, Galle, Ratnapura, Kegalle, Puttalam, and Kandy districts.
