The police say that security has been beefed up around the National Hospital and the surrounding area following the hospitalization of former State Intelligence Chief Suresh Salle.

Police Media Spokesperson Assistant Superintendent of Police F.U. Wutler stated that officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and the Police Special Task Force have been deployed for the purpose.

It is reported that former state intelligence chief Suresh Salle is currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital.

The police stated that he was admitted to the National Hospital last night (07) on medical advice.
