A drone attack has been launched on the British Royal Air Force base in Akrotiri, Cyprus.

The Cypriot president and the British Ministry of Defense said that the attack caused minor damage but no casualties.

Foreign media further stated that this was the first attack on a British military base since a rocket attack by Libyan militants in 1986.
