A motorcycle travelling towards Thiramadu collided with a three-wheeler coming from the opposite direction in an accident.

It happened on the Kokuvil-Panichchiadi Kokuvil road.

Police stated that the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in the accident and died while receiving treatment at the Batticaloa Hospital.

The deceased is a 42-year-old resident of Batticaloa.
