An accident has occurred when the driver of a tractor heading towards Mapakada lost control and fell into the Vienna canal.

The accident occurred in the Diyabana area on the Mapakada-Mahiyanganaya road.

It is reported that the tractor driver drowned in the accident and went missing.

The police said that the missing person is a 45-year-old resident of the Mahiyanganaya area.
