Acting Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, stated that 1,069 dengue patients have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours.

He said that the total number of dengue patients reported in the country so far has increased to 45,037.

He also stated that a total of 28 deaths have been reported.
