Ethiopia says that it has finished filling its Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) on the Nile River.

But due to this, foreign media reported that there may be a long-term water dispute with the downstream countries, Egypt and Sudan.

Ethiopia's announcement came a fortnight after resuming talks on an agreement that would take into account the water needs of all three countries.

But Egypt and Sudan say the dam will severely reduce their share of Nile water.
