The former OIC of Suriyakanda Police and a constable have been arrested.

This was by officers of the Central Crime Investigation Bureau.

Police Media Spokesperson Assistant Superintendent of Police F.U. Wutler stated that they have been taken into custody in connection with an allegation regarding the killing of a buffalo.

It is reported that they have been arrested for violating the Wildlife Ordinance.

The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Embilipitiya Magistrate's Court tomorrow (07).
