Today (11), the Colombo High Court dismissed Shashi Weerawansa's appeal against the 2-year prison sentence and fine imposed for possessing an illegal foreign passport.

This was by the Colombo High Court.

Announcing the decision, Colombo High Court Judge Manjula Thilakaratne stated that the decision given by the Colombo Magistrate's Court against the appellant will be upheld.
