The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that there will be rain or thundershowers at a few places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Weste provinces and in Puttalam, Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 pm.

It also said that some rain may occur in the Northe Province and Trincomalee district.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
