The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur from time to time in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Weste provinces and Galle and Matara districts today.

The said department mentions that the wind blows around 40-45 kmh from time to time over the island.

The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
