The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Weste and Southe provinces.

It also stated that some places in Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces and Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts may experience heavy rain of more than 75 mm.

Several rainy seasons are possible in the northe province.
 
In the rest of the island, rain or thundershowers will occur at places, especially in the evening or at night.

Occasional gusty winds around 40-45 kmh in the weste and southe coastal areas and the weste slopes of the central hills.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
