The police have arrested 9 people, including the Inter University Student Union Convener.

This was for holding a protest in front of the Ministry of Health in violation of a court order.

A court order was issued today (16) to a group, including the Inter University Student Union Convener, preventing them from entering the Colombo Hospital Square and the area where the Ministry of Health is located and from disrupting hospital activities.

This prohibits them from entering those areas from 12 noon today (16) until 5 pm tomorrow.
