The wife of former State Intelligence Chief Suresh Saleh has sent a letter to the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, Shani Abeysekara.

It states that her husband is currently admitted to the National Hospital and is receiving treatment and that she and her child have been given permission to see her husband from a distance.

The letter also further states that lawyers who are conducting legal work on her husband's behalf be allowed to meet him.
