The total amount of foreign remittances received by the country from foreign workers during the month of May 2026 has been recorded at US $847 million.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka stated that the income has increased by US$205.3 million this year compared to the previous year.

Also, the total amount of foreign remittances received by the country during the period from January to May 2026 has increased to US$3.90 billion.
