The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be several periods of rain in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-Weste provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

It says that there will be mainly rainless weather conditions in the rest of the areas.

Occasional winds around 30-40 kmh are possible in North, East and North Central Provinces.
