The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Matale District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 66% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 181,678 votes, securing the district win, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 53,200 votes (19.37%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 4 seats in Matale District, and with the SJB winning 1 seat.

• Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB): 53,200 votes – 1 seat
• New Democratic Front (NDF): 13,353 votes
• Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP): 10,150 votes
• Sarvajana Balaya: 3,312 votes
