The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Nuwaraeliya District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 41% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 161,167 votes, securing the district win, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 101,589 votes (26.21%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 5 seats in Nuwaraeliya District, with the SJB winning 2 seats and UNP winning 1 seat.

• United National Party (UNP): 64,672 votes - 1 seat
