Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, who was in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department, has been remanded today (02).

The remand was done by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court.

He has been remanded pending the instructions of the atto ey general in the investigations conducted into the disappearance of a vice-chancellor of the Easte Province in 2006.
