The marking of postal votes for the Provincial Government Elections ended at 04.00 pm today (29).
Election Commissioner Saman Sri Ratnayake stated that those who have not marked their postal votes will not be able to vote at the polling station.
It is reported that 648,495 people were eligible to mark their postal votes for this year's local government elections.
Executive Director of PAFFREL Rohana Hettiarachchi stated that his organization observed that the voting was at an optimal level.
He further stated that the use of postal votes exceeded 60% on the first day itself and that the use of postal votes remained high during the 4 days of vote marking.
