The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be rain or thundershowers at a few places in the evening or night in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Weste and Uva provinces and in Galle, Matara and Mullaitivu districts.

It also said that there may be some rain in the mo ing in the weste and north-weste coastal areas and in the Jaffna district.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
