The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be rain or thundershowers at some places in the evening or night in Easte and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa district.

It also said that there will be some rain in the mo ing in the weste coastal areas and Galle and Matara districts.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
