The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thunder may occur in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Weste and Northe provinces and Galle and Matara districts from time to time today (08).

The department states that there will be scattered rain or thundershowers in the evening or night in Easte and Uva provinces and in Polonnaruwa district.

The Meteorological Department announces that the weste and southe coastal areas and the weste slopes of the central hills will have occasional gusts of 40-50kmh strong winds are possible.

The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
