The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be rain or thundershowers at places in the evening or night in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa, North-Weste , Central and Easte provinces and Mullaitivu, Vavuniya and Polonnaruwa districts.

There may be some rain in the mo ing in the weste coastal areas and Galle and Matara districts.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
