It is expected that the current rain situation in the southweste part of the island will continue.

Weste , Sabaragamuwa, South and North-West provinces and Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts will experience rain or thunder from time to time.
 
In Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Puttalam districts, heavy rains of more than 75 mm can also be expected in some areas.

Few rains occur in the Northe Province and Anuradhapura district.
 
In the weste slopes of the Central Hills and in the Northe , North-Central and North-Weste Provinces, Trincomalee and Hambantota Districts, the winds are blowing at times per 40-45kmh.
 
A few places in Ampara and Batticaloa districts may experience rain or thundershowers during evening or night.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
