The Department of Meteorology says that Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces may experience several periods of rain.

Apart from this, the department mentioned that there may be several rainy seasons in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

In Uva province and Ampara and Batticaloa districts, rain or thundershowers may occur at several places in the evening or at night.

Also, the department has requested to take necessary measures to reduce the accidents caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
