The Department of Meteorology says that today (10) there will be several periods of rain in Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.

There may be some light rains in the northe province.

It is said that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the evening or night in Uva province.

Also in the North-Central Province, Puttalam, Hambantota, Mannaram and Trincomalee districts strong winds around 40kmh will also occur.
