The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, South and North-West provinces and Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

It also states that scattered rain or thundershowers will occur in Uva and Easte Provinces, Polonnaruwa and Mullaitivu districts in the evening or at night.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
