The Department of Meteorology announces that there will be several periods of rain in Easte and Uva provinces and Polonnaruwa and Matale districts today (3).

In Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts around 2:00 p.m. rain or thundershowers may occur at few places.

Meanwhile, the department further stated that foggy conditions are expected in some places in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts in the mo ing.
