The Meteorological Department announced that showers or thundershowers may occur at times in the Easte , Southe , and Uva provinces and in the Matale, Nuwara Eliya, and Polonnaruwa districts tonight (03).

Showers or thundershowers may occur at places in the remaining areas during the evening or night.

The statement further states that a decrease in the current rain conditions on the island is expected from tomorrow (04).
