The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there may be rains in the Northe , North-Central, Easte and Uva provinces.

Occasional winds in North-Central, Easte , Central, Uva and North-West provinces.

It also said that strong winds of around 40 are possible.

There is a possibility of frost in some places in Nuwara Eliya district during the early mo ing.

In Central, Sabaragamuwa and Weste Provinces and in Galle and Matara Districts after 2.00 pm there may be scattered showers or thunderstorms.
