The Department of Meteorology announces that there may be several periods of rain in Easte and Uva Provinces, Mullaitivu, Matale and Polonnaruwa districts today (1).

In other parts of the island after 2.00 pm there may be heavy rain around 75 mm and in some places in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces, Galle and Matara districts.

However, the department further states that foggy conditions are expected in the mo ing in some places in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
